How to stop, start, or restart vCenter 6.0 Server Appliance
- Connect to the vCenter Server Appliance through SSH.
- Log in as root and change to BASH shell.
- Run this command in the SSH client.
service --status-all
Check the status of a specific service. First list all services.
ls /etc/init.d
Once you fount the service you would like to know the status of run the following command. Where ServiceName is the name of the service you would like to check.
service //ServiceName// status
You can now toggle between the following options.
- service ServiceName start
- service ServiceName restart
- service ServiceName stop
- service ServiceName status
